Liz takes the lead on getting the right people around the table, in order to solve a problem in a way that is responsive to its context.
She brings a background in planning, community development, and placemaking, from working with a wide range of local and central government agencies over the last 10 years. This anchors Place Creative's way of working as values-driven and focused on finding the opportunity in every challenge.
Liz also leads design of teams and projects, and is an expert in facilitating the alignment of people and process.
Bachelor of English and Media Studies
Charlotte takes the lead in each project's back-end, adept at information gathering and analysis, and developing frameworks and tools that are context-specific.
She brings a background in communications and community development from the climate movement, social justice, and broadcasting.
Charlotte also helms the Place Collective project, overseeing the development of a voice for place change in Tāmaki Makaurau.

Layla has over ten years of experience working with museums, galleries, artists and designers in Aotearoa and internationally. They gained a BDes and an MA in the Netherlands and were awarded a one-year graphic design fellowship position at the Walker Art Center, a multidisciplinary contemporary art institution in Minneapolis, USA.
Layla takes the lead on Place Creative's creative responses and graphic design, specifically curating our Vacant Spaces programme.
Layla is also co-founder of split/fountain (S/F), a project operating variously as a design studio, project space, niche publishing house, and laboratory for urban aesthetics and collaborative thinking.
