Karangahape Road Business Association, 2024-25
Karangahape Road is the cultural centre of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Its identity as a safe haven for experimentalism and inclusivity extends to hospitality, entrepreneurs, social services and advocacy groups, street whānau, artists, sex workers, activists, and beyond.
Karangahape Road is an incubator for all types of people challenging the norm, and this freedom to experiment is key for a sustainable economic environment.
The Karangahape Road Business Association (KBA) engaged Place Creative to develop their 5 year strategic plan to define their purpose, focus areas, and budget. The plan sets an important new direction for the KBA, and was quickly adopted by its Committee of local business owners.
The refreshed approach has enabled new cornerstone events and branding, as well as measurable outcomes including increased business engagement, leasing, and overall precinct spend.
