Liz is an experienced placemaking professional passionate about transforming complex urban development challenges into opportunities for innovation and community building. With a background in spatial design and urban planning, she facilitates the development of engaging, vibrant and inclusive places, by connecting community voices with agencies who deliver large scale infrastructure and built environment projects.
Over the last 7 years Liz has led the delivery of place activation and tactical urbanism projects in collaboration with a wide range of local government, private sector and community stakeholders as a response to the rapid growth and transformation of Auckland urban environment. Charlotte Billing. Place Strategist. Bachelor of English and Media Studies
Charlotte started out as an organiser passionate about community, working behind the scenes for the past decade across arts, environmental, and social justice movements.
With Place Creative she has been able to put a deep knowledge of Tāmaki’s intersecting cultures into placemaking projects, and is adept at distilling plans into actions, and monitoring the impact of our work over time.
She takes the lead on research and reporting, with a focus on listening, learning, and developing narratives of place with communities.
