Place Creative led the creative development of the Downtown Programme Engagement material for Auckland Transport alongside the communications team, Crisp Communication and MR Cagney, Isthmus, Angus Muir Design and Mana Whenua. The challenge was to distill a large amount of information into material that was highly visual, engaging and easy to understand and reach a wide audience in a tight time frame.
The solution was to create a ‘pop-up’ information stand which could be rolled out across a series of spaces in the city throughout the engagement period. These stands were supported by ‘sensory boxes’ designed by Isthmus and Angus Muir Design. These boxes gave people the opportunity to experience the sounds, textures and sights of the waterfront and then asked to respond on what they envision a future ‘healthy’ waterfront to be.
